Scholarships & Mentorship

Opening doors for future scientists

Talent is everywhere. Opportunity isn't. Our scholarship programme helps young people from disadvantaged backgrounds pursue careers in medical and scientific research.

Who this programme is for

Our scholarships are designed for young people who have the ability and drive to succeed in scientific research, but lack the financial resources or support networks to pursue advanced education.

We're particularly interested in supporting students from backgrounds that are underrepresented in science and medicine—whether due to economic circumstances, geography, family situation, or other barriers.

Undergraduate Students

Studying biomedical sciences, medicine, or related fields with research potential.

Postgraduate Researchers

Master's and PhD candidates focusing on autoimmune disease research.

More than funding

"Money opens doors. But mentorship helps you know which ones to walk through."

Financial support is only part of what we offer. Many talented young people from disadvantaged backgrounds lack the networks and guidance that others take for granted.

Our programme includes mentorship from established researchers, networking opportunities with the scientific community, and ongoing support throughout the scholar's academic journey.

1

Financial support

Tuition fees, living expenses, and research costs covered.

2

Personal mentorship

Paired with experienced researchers who provide guidance and advice.

3

Network access

Introductions to the scientific community and career opportunities.

4

Ongoing support

Continued guidance as scholars progress through their careers.

Our goals

We believe that diversifying the research community leads to better science. Different perspectives, different experiences, different questions—these are what drive innovation.

Our scholarship programme aims to:

  • Remove financial barriers to scientific careers
  • Increase diversity in medical and scientific research
  • Build a pipeline of researchers committed to rare disease work
  • Create role models for future generations

Coming soon

We're currently developing the formal structure of our scholarship programme, including application processes, selection criteria, and partnership arrangements with universities.

If you're interested in applying when the programme launches, or if you'd like to be involved as a mentor or partner institution, we'd love to hear from you.
